What Is an FNSKU Label?
FNSKU stands for Fulfilment Network Stock Keeping Unit. It is the unique barcode Amazon uses to identify a product inside its fulfilment centres and connect it to a specific seller. You can find and download FNSKU labels for each of your products in Amazon Seller Central.
Unlike a manufacturer barcode (UPC or EAN), an FNSKU tells Amazon exactly who owns that unit. This protects your inventory from being mixed with stock from other sellers on the same listing.
FNSKU vs EAN / UPC Barcodes
- EAN / UPC: the manufacturer barcode used to create or match a listing on Amazon.
- FNSKU: Amazon’s own barcode that identifies your units in the FBA warehouse.
- When Amazon requires an FNSKU, the original manufacturer barcode usually has to be fully covered so only one scannable barcode is visible.
